Christian Education Council: The Christian Education Council plans and coordinates Christian Education activities for the church. Its goal is to effectively train members for Christian service.

Church Working Club: The CWC Ministry is the oldest ministry in the church. It was organized in 1925. The ministry's anniversary is celebrated the second Sunday in November. Its mission is to aide the church in fundraising and to assist in community efforts. Also, the CWC Ministry has adopted a "Boys" home in the Midlands. New members and new ideas are welcomed.

Community Development Outreach: The Outreach Ministry reaches out to the community and prisons on first and third Saturdays of each month. Although soul-winning is the primary goal, the group periodically plans fellowships for those it serves.

Couples' Ministry:  The Couples Ministry strives to help couples grow in their marriage and to God by learning and developing marriage enrichment and communication skills; understanding what the Bible says about marriage; attending quarterly fellowship/workshops and semi-annual honeymoon retreats.

Deaconess Ministry: The obligational function of the Church Deaconess is to strive to maintain a spiritual tone of Christian Faith and Christian Love along with performing the outlined service tasks: 1) Preparation and Setup of the Lord's Supper, 2) Preparation of baptism candidates, 3) Assisting the Pastor and Deacons on visitations with the bereaved, sick and shut-in members and their families and 4) Strive to work within oneself to instill, teach, promote and exemplify Christian values to new members and youth as mentors.

Deacons Ministry: The Deacon Ministry is a plan through which the deacons help the pastor in ministering to the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of each church member and family. Members are assigned to Deacons according to the member's last name. For example, if your last name begins with the letter F, then Deacon Lyles may be your Deacon. There are many ways that a Deacon can be of assistance to a church member and his/her family. (1) visiting you;  (2) witnessing to unsaved family members; (3) rejoicing with you and your family; (4) being your friend; (5) giving support in the time of crisis; (6) answering questions about your faith or about your church; (7) helping you grow and have fellowship with other members and families in the church; (8) praying for and with you.

Drama Ministry: The purpose of the Drama Ministry is to communicate the message of the gospel and teach spiritual truths through dramatic presentations. The productions are targeted for youth of all ages and adults. The Ministry plans the following yearly programs: Black History, Easter and Christmas.

Etiquette & Manners: The Ministry's goal and purpose is to help each youth learn Manners & Etiquette by: putting God "first" before everything; using their minds to think about consequences of the decisions they make; build self-esteem; love themselves, each other, respect themselves and others; "Not" giving into peer pressure; and, how to deal with bullying. They must learn that no matter how bad circumstances look, God is always a step ahead of the problem if they keep the faith.

Evangelism Ministry: This ministry shall be composed of members of the Church who have been called or who have a desire to spread the gospel and win souls for Christ. It shall plan, foster and carry out the evangelistic efforts of the church; and develop and present to the Church a year-long plan for specific evangelistic outreach at a quarterly Church meeting.

First Response Ministry: First Responder’s Ministry (1RM) is a service group made up of church members who volunteer to provide immediate medical services to those in need. We are excited about this ministry and the positive impact it will have on this body of Christ and the community. 1RM members are always on Duty during Sunday Church services. Our goal is to work with existing ministries, auxiliaries, and groups of RBMC. Deacons, Trustees, and Ushers are provided with the necessary information to alert us to respond to particular situations or health issues, when needed.  We are committed to being obedient to God’s will and His way, whether it is for health related topic discussions, participation in Health Fairs, continued medical assistance education, etc. We do not provide medical diagnosis, medication administration or replace the role of your personal MD or Health Care Provider. We will act as a unit to function for the good of the body of Christ.

Homebound Ministry: The mission of the Homebound Ministry is to obey Christ's instruction to be a servant and "Go Tell" the good news to that portion of the church's body that is confined to their residence or some other institution. We assist the sick and shut-in by visiting, providing transportation to doctor visits or pharmacy; to help in the home as needed; to teach the Sunday School lesson, to go grocery shopping, and to give other assistance as requested. The Homebound Ministry has a quarterly fellowship service that caters to the needs of those that have special needs and strengthens the members' work in this group.

Media Ministry:  The Media Ministry's primary duty is to operate audio, the video system and projection for all church services. Both services are usually recorded on CD, DVD and cassette every Sunday, and copies are made available for members.

Men's Ministry: The mission of the Men's Ministry is to empower men to rightfully accept the roles as leaders in their homes, the Church, and their communities through Scripture principles, to develop a spirit of commitment, unity, brotherhood, fellowship and services to help enrich the life of this Church and its outreach programs everywhere. The purpose of the Men's Ministry is to empower men of Ridgewood and other men's lives through Jesus Christ; to help men discover their God-given gifts for ministry, determine needs in the Church, community and match those needs with their gifts of service; and to lead men to accept Christ so that they become men who know and exercise the power of prayer through their study of the Bible and base their lives on the Word of God.

Multi-Media Ministry: The Multi-Media and Sound Ministry is responsible for making sure the congregation is able to focus on worship during each worship service and special events that takes place in the sanctuary. Our goal is to be an invisible part of each worship service to enhance the congregation's ability to worship through sight and sound.

Music Ministry: The purpose of the music & worship ministry is to magnify the preached word of God through music. We, the musicians, psalmists and worship leaders come together to set an atmosphere that ushers God's people into His presence. Guiding scripture: Psalm 150. The Jubilee Choir has been singing "Songs of Zion" since 1925. RMBC's Jubilee Choir provides opportunities for all who love music to use God's gift to sing Metered Hymns and Shape Note songs to magnify His name. The Choir renders two songs, one Metered and one Shape Note on the first, second and fourth Sundays.

Nurses’ Ministry: The Nurses’ Ministry was established in 2003 to list the names of nurses who volunteer to be available to respond during church services should an emergency or need for first aid occur. It maintains a display of free health-related brochures and pamphlets, maintains fully stocked first aid kits and assists with health fairs and screenings to promote good health. A close working relationship exists between the Wellness Ministry and Ushers Ministry. Nurses’ ministry members are available to assist other church ministries in securing speakers, presenters and/or materials. The Ministry is comprised of licensed nurses and church members who have had some type of medical-related training. The ministry is available to do other related services, as deemed necessary by the Pastor.

Pastor’s Aid Ministry: The Pastor’s Aid Ministry is dedicated to assisting and enhancing the spiritual and physical needs of our Pastor. These needs include such things as supporting him on trips to associations and conventions, seeing that his robes are properly maintained, initiating and carrying out the events for his anniversary and birthday, providing needed items for his office and other assistance as needed/requested.

Security Ministry: The purpose of this Ministry is to ensure the safety of our members as we come together to worship. The goal is to be peacemakers for all that enter our sanctuary. "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9

Senior Adult Outreach Ministry: The purpose of the Senior Adult Outreach Ministry is to give seniors an opportunity to socialize, participate in activities they enjoy, and gather current information on aging. Our seniors are provided culturally enhancing activities as well as trips and fun afternoons, where they come out and enjoy games, food, and fellowship and listen to updated information on aging issues provided by Senior Adult Agencies. Annually the ministry organizes for seniors at Ridgewood Missionary Baptist Church a prom in which they can invite other seniors. This is an event they happily look forward to because they can dress up and reminisce about their prom.  For some it is an opportunity to attend their very first prom. It is an honor for the Senior Adult Outreach Ministry to provide the Ridgewood Missionary Baptist Church these services.

Orientation Class: The objective of the Orientation Class is to meet the new converts at whatever point in their lives they may be, lead them in Bible principles toward their Christian growth, and to make sure they have a clear understanding of the plan of salvation. It is the desire for them to know that attending Church on Sunday morning and Wednesday night Bible Study alone does not make you a Christian, but that it is a part of life for believers.  The future for this class is to make better disciples for Jesus Christ.  After completing the class, students will attend regular Sunday School class.
